TGCVR – Day One

Good morning!

This is the first day of The Great CityVille Race. For those who haven’t been following, I’ll be creating 2 accounts on CityVille; casual and hardcore, and figuring out if playing hardcore actually makes a noticeable difference to playing casually. For the full details, and rules, check the link above.

Before I begin, here are my two towns…

The Hood: Account A - Casual

The Hizzle: Account B - Hardcore

Account A

Money: 9920

Goods: 447

XP: 346 (Level 10)

Account B

Money: 6476

Goods: 715

XP: 344 (Level 10)

My hypothesis is that there won’t be a massive amount of difference between core and casual, so it’s important to track any discrepancies with the starting towns.

I’ll be updating this at the end of the day!

So Day One is over and here are the results so far…

Casual

Hardcore

.So far the results look good. When I began today, it actually seemed like my Casual town was more profitable. However, with the 6pm final play session, you can see that I have slightly more XP and a lot more money. I spent a lot more in the hardcore town, but I reaped a lot more benefits. With the sheer amount of farms and businesses, I was getting ‘Masterful’ on the combo meter every time. This gives a bonus of around 850 coins.

The first main observation though, was that I could only play casually once every 2 hours. Yet, I couldn’t really play much  more than that even if I wanted to. With energy limits, and saving up a pool so I could get click combos, I actually played my hardcore town about the same amount as my casual one.

As you can see from my second town, there are a lot of unclaimed resources. My town is also pretty full. Have I hit the maximum already? 1 day into level 10? We’ll see tomorrow! I’m in serious need of extra energy though.
